In this post I take you to the Netherlands, particularly in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. It wasn't always good weather but anyway i had the chance to enjoy the most of these beautiful cities thanks to the best two guides!
I had prepared this trip for three months. The idea of surprising and visiting my friend Laura came to me when she told me that she was celebrating her birthday in February.
With Claudio, her boyfriend and friend of mine, we consulted to prepare the surprise in the best conditions. And here I am, in the airplane from Geneva to Amsterdam Schiphol!
I travelled with Easyjet: short travel, good prices and good schedules. When I arrived, I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to see Laura’s face when she would see me! Indeed I can confirm that she was really surprised!
Laura and Claudio are living in Rotterdam, so I spent two days to visit (and spend my money I admit), in this beautiful harbour city. We went on top of a tower to observe the city and its huge port that is the biggest European port with 44km in length. This tower is the highest of Netherland and has the particularity to possess a turntable which allows people to have a real overview of the city. Rotterdam is an incredible and multi-faceted city. On one hand it seems really industrial, but it’s also an architectural city full of charm and surprises.
The third day, Laura showed me Amsterdam! Unfortunately, the rain was part of the visit, “Typical Dutch weather” Laura told me. One can say that I enjoyed fully Netherland haha! I wanted to see so many things! Sadly, in view of the weather and the time that I had before going to the airport, I just saw a little part of the city. But the little which I could see made me want to come back there as soon as possible! What a delight to stroll alongside the canals. In Amsterdam we can feel the relaxing atmosphere!
Here are few pictures of my trip !
